 Kombucha 101 - $30

Learn how to brew your own kombucha at home and save some money on your "kombucha habit" while you're at it! This workshop begins with a LECTURE on the history, nutritive value and simple technique of brewing kombucha, along with a TASTING of some house-made flavors. We will DEMONSTRATE brewing a batch of kombucha tea, and get HANDS-ON with a kombucha SCOBY for a little "show and tell." Finally, students will get to prepare their own flavor infusion from a buffet of fruits, herbs and spices to TAKE HOME along with their very own kombucha SCOBY to start their own kombucha brewing process.

Mead Making 101 - $25

Learn the basics of making your own mead! Join Douglas Shaw, co-founder of Western Reserve Meadery, in Cleveland to discuss home mead making techniques, tricks, and tips. Participants will receive complete information on how to make it at home, with a focus on both the mead making process and on building flavor profiles with a range of ingredients. Once you learn the basic steps and recipe, the sky is the limit ... raspberry mead, cinnamon mead, jalapeno mead, rose mead, whatever your heart desires! Come join us and take home a new hobby! All participants will take home a mead making ingredient kit to help get you started. All attendees must be 21+
